Leader's Hollow

High in the branchs of a tree with many trunks which twist around itself, there is a hollow in which the leader makes his or her den. The leader's den is next to The Highbranch, which is made of the twisted-trunk tree. This tree is many years old, and somehow manages to stretch across the clearing, sheltering the clan from flying predators.

The Highbranch
This branch reaches high above the clearing but low enough for the leader to leap from his or her den- or the ground, to perform ceremonies and hold clan meetings. It is an honored place.

This place is the most secret and sheltered place of all. Hidden away behind the pool of water the waterfall plunges into, it is warmed by underground springs and is lush with moss, spider webs and some types of herbs. Notches in the cave wall are perfect to store dried herbs in, and offers a safe place to just relax if you need to.

Warrior's Fort
A sturdy fort suspended by vines between two large, wide trunked trees which will sometimes swing in the wind. This fort has only one entrance, which overlooks the tunnel into the camp. It is warm and dark inside, and is insulated from the wind, the rain and the elements.

Apprentice's Mouth
This place always sounds funny when named, but it is one of the most comfortable dens in the clearing. A cave carved by a stream many seasons ago offers heat and shelter, for it is connected to the underground springs. Apprentices are not to go past the tenth stalagmite, for there is a dramatic drop off leading to the bowells of the mountain. Warriors trust apprentices not to spar inside their den.

Changeling's Cavern
Of course, this place is also known as The Nursery. New or expecting mothers come here and take care of their kits, often having to stay in this place seven moons. This is a cavern quite like the Apprentice's Mouth, only it does not have a sharp drop at the back. Ledges and thick moss line the walls, giving a good place to play, shelter and sleep for kits and queens alike. The nursery is reinforced with sharp thorns, and the entrance is a small hole lines with vines to prevent pelts being entangled.

Elder's Burrow
This place, the Elder's den, is a short tunnel underneath the left tree that suspends the Warrior's Fort, leading to a warm burrow underneath and among the roots. The Elders are safest here, with the roots strangely glowing. Kits scamper here to listen to spooky stories and sometimes even play with the elders themselves - this roots seem to have strange powers...
