Cinderleaf sat in her den and lazily flicked her tail from side to side, She stared at a messy pile of herbs, soembody had jsut dropped off, and pondered whether or not to start sorting them right now, or scew it, and have some fun today.

Soulpaw could do it--he knows how to... she thought wryly. Her apprentice knew more about herbs then she knew herself. Cinderleaf knew Sulpaw had been chosen for a reason by StarClan to be medicine cat, whereas, Cinderleafd had jsut beeen hloding the spot for him. She wasnt all special and all-knowing like her mentor, or her apprentice.

She sighed and decided to start sorting. What else did Cinderleaf have to do? She visited her sister and, 'nieces and nephew,' every single day. Staying away would help her thinning cover up of her being mate to Silentstep, and having three kits. O

Once again, Cinderleaf found herself thinking of poor Duskkit, and her blind eyes. The kit had certainly been cursed as a punsihment for her parents. Cinderleaf had a heavy heart for every time she saw her other two kits, her rpoud, wise young son, and her adorable, pretty little daughter next to odd Duskkit she felt liek crying. Why hadnt she been the one to be blidned? Why did this young kit have to suffer in her place.

That was the true curse. Her guilt, her hatred all directed towards herslef kept Cindelreaf up at night. As if it wasnt enough to see her leader, and apprentice both knowingly turn the other cheek, Cinderleafd had to have this happen to her as well? What was up with the world!

She sniffed one of the herbs A good strong herb that would chase away a sickness before it could even knock at your door. Cinderleaf put it to the side where she kept herbs that were especially good, or dangerous. Even Soulpaw might not know what some of the mystic herbs were. Cinderleaf surelly was confused by some of the mixtures she had been taught as a youngling.

She flicked her paw and swept all the herbs to the side of the room for Soulpaw to sort later as she gave up and galloped out into daylight. Away from her dark, moist den! Cinderleaf was happy she was done. The she-cat was mcuh happier out in her real home. With her Clan Mates... on a fine day in the middle of new-leaf.
