The bird flitted down from her branch, eyes darting around nervously as she scratched the ground for insect, ready to take off at a moment's notice, alert for any possible danger that might come.
It had to be alert. This was an area frequented by predators, any one of which could kill her easily if it caught her.
Still, it was a risk she had to take. And she assured herself that she was safe.
In fact, she was in very great danger. Danger that crept up behind in the form of a white cat with a single black stripe cutting diagonally across his back.
The cat pounced. The bird never even knew she was being killed. It was too sharp, too swift. Her head was severed from her body, decapitated by Slice's claws, a trail of blood spurting through the air.

Slice began to ate, knowing that he was in FlameClan territory. He didn't care in the slightest.

[[Can Storm join?]]

Glazed green, luminescent eyes stared out from within the dead, grey leaves of one of the many crooked, mangled trees in the swamp.
The owner of those eyes, a tabby with metallic grey stripes blinked. He had watched the whole incident even to the point where the other tom had sliced off the poor, innocent creature's head, not that he really cared at all what happened to the stupid bird. He was more intrigued in the white cat.
Storm perked his ears in interest. Who was this cat? He had not seen him much on FlameClan territory, but that had good reasoning. Storm didn't usually hunt in FlameClan territory; he preferred to hunt in, well, weaker Clan territory. No, he wasn't afraid, just using his head, unlike so many other cats.
Storm's ears swiveled forward as he watched the cat eat. With a shrug of his lithe muscles, he leaped out of the tree and onto the ground with an almost silent thud.
"Hello," he said, grinning or at least it was his version of a grin. Really, he was just showing his sharp-edged canines. "Nice catch." Storm's bright, green eyes sparkled a bit as he neared the new cat. Finally, when he was only a couple of foxlengths away, he sat and tilted his head. "This is Clan territory, you know. Might not appreciate you hunting on their land."

((Of course.))

Slice took a bite out of his bird, slowly chewing it, then spoke aloud; "And... Why should I care at all about what they think? If they cannot guard their land, they do not deserve to have it. Losing food is a lesser punishment, but all I can give to them at the moment."
He didn't turn to look at the cat. He didn't need to, the nearby water reflected it almost perfectly.
He also noticed a large, loglike shape with a thin snout floating rather close, but he ignored it for now. He could use it to his advantage if there was a fight, but he hoped it didn't come to that.
That is, he hoped he didn't have to fight this cat, who was either a rogue or loner.
He welcomed a fight with any Clan cat.

"Ah," Storm allowed, his eyes slightly narrowing at the white cat's reasoning. He didn't seem like much of a threat, but that was what most cats looked like. Storm knew better then to judge by one's looks. "You don't like the Clans?" he asked, tilting his head to an impossibly sharp angle.
This tom was getting more and more interesting by the minute. Most cats would be scared or offended, being watched from within a tree. This cat didn't seem to really care. Weird. Odd. Interesting.
Curiosity blazed in Storm's eyes, and he corrected the tilt to his neck, grinning a little in bliss at a slight pop. He slowly got up, placing his grey paws on the muddy ground and making a face at the earthy feel. Storm had never liked swamps with their foul scents and detesting noises. He much preferred the forest or flat fields. At least there, he didn't get swampy sod stuck in between his claws. Not that he was complaining. No, no. The swamp was sometimes helpful when it came to acquiring food, and it wasn't like he was too good for it. Storm had been in worse places then this by a long shot.
"Well, I don't much like those kits, either."

"Who does, apart from themselves?" Slice slowly nodded his head, a few drops of blood splashing into the water as he did so.
This cat is strange... He's acting like a kit... Hungry for any attention...
Slice's tail twitched. The Thin Snout was getting closer. Was it actually going to try to devour him? Stupid reptile... He backed away from the water, moving a few fox-lengths toward Storm, slowly turning to face him.
"Why do you keep talking to me? Is there something you need?" Slice's voice had a faint hint of annoyance, as if this cat was wasting his time.

[Hehe... a kit...]
"In fact, there is," answered Storm tersely, bowing his grey head. His green eyes were a mixture of irritation and impatience. This cat wasn't giving him enough information. Stupid tom. Just tell me who you are. I'm only talking to you out of boredom, Storm thought, though he knew it wasn't true. He was really, very intent on learning much about this cat. He wasn't like other rouges, or, at least, Storm thought he was a rouge. The tom may be a loner, but that didn't seem likely. Now, if the cat would only speak. Storm didn't want to have to squeeze the information out of him. "I'd like to know who you are and why you are on this land. If it helps any in you telling me, my name is Storm and I'm hunting." he told the white tom before sliding out his claws and raising a paw. "It'd be easier if you just told me. I wouldn't want to have to feed you to that Thin Snout over there." Storm nodded toward the alligator a little ways off. Yes, in fact, Storm had seen the Thin Snout from the second he got into that tree for a little snooze. Of course, the tom had woken him, but, before that and now, he had kept a good eye on it.

[Ha. You can't feed him to the gator now -sticks out tongue-]

In a fallen tree on a rise not to far away, silverstripe, the flameclan warrior. Crouched with a smaller yellowish cat. His eyes stayed steady on the two strangers, listening to there conversation. he wanted to attack them and show them why they should be afraid of the flameclan cats, but he couldn't rush his unexperienced son into battle. The cat beside silverstripe was lionpaw, the son of the flameclan leader, and himself. Now officially lionpaw was still a kit, but because mudstar refused to make him an apprentice right away, silverstripe had snuck him out of camp and they were touring the territory. Flameclan needed more warriors, not more kits flailing about.

"Why don't we go down there dad?" Lionpaw growled, shifting his paws uneasily on the rotten tree cool with moisture.

"We can't fight them, not now anyways..." Silverstripe answered, not taking his eyes of the rouges.

Lionpaw, not satisfied with this answer, mumbled something and continued watching.

"Correction," Slice meowed, his voice slightly threatening. "The Thin Snout would not be feeding on me, but on either you, or whoever else is watching. It depends on who attacks first..." Slice had heard the sounds of someone; or at least he thought he did. Probably some lone FlameClan apprentice. Could be nothing at all. Still, it didn't hurt to assume things. Slice scratched his ear absently.
He had a horrible headache.

[Are we just going to throw insults back at each other? ^^]

Storm's fur prickled at the cats words, but he did not say anything for a moment. He looked up at the cat, green eyes narrowed before turning around. "'Ey! You two behind the dead tree! Come on out, or I'll drag you out by your tails myself." he hissed, not bothering to see if the white tom was still there or had already made his getaway.
A few foxlengths away was a dead and mangled tree that quite resembled a corpse. He hadn't noticed until just now, when the rogue character spoke, FlameClan scent radiated off the 'log', almost impossible to miss. Storm silently cursed himself for not scenting it before. His thoughts had been too wrapped up around that obnoxious tom.

"Ah..." Slice let out a long breath. He stayed in one spot, not bothering to move. He was actually slightly annoyed with himself- he should have noticed the other cats before. That wasn't good. His senses were dulling, he had a headache....
Not a good sign. But an effective warning to himself.
"You should leave now," he meowed. "I'm not going to be in a bad mood soon..."
His tail twitched. The voice was talking to him. He ignored it. It became stronger.
kill kill kill kill kill
Shut up, Slice told Dark Slyce, who ignored him, sending stronger waves of aggression into his head.
As much as he hated to admit it, he wasn't going to last as himself for much longer.

A light and giggly voice could be heard humming in the distance. It was getting louder though, and a fool couldn't have mistaken it from Moonflight's. She was by far the bubbliest, bounciest, loudest, and. . . loudest. . . warrior in all of the Clans. She had been very outspoken since kithood, and everyone had very different opinions about her.

She bounced through the bushes and her eyes went wide to see Lionpaw and his father Silverstripe crouched down, watching a loner and a rouge. "Hi! Whatcha' doing?" She asked in her best whispery voice. . . which was not very quiet. She crouched down as well but her tail was flicking around in the air with excitement. She was an apprentice not too long ago, actually, and so every time she was in the presence of an apprentice she was suddenly a kit again, trying her best not to be scolded by a warrior.

With smooth, liquid movement, the silver tabby moved smoothely out from the thick marshy brush as if the mist itself had come together to form the shape of a feline. Golden eyes gazed solidly without any emotion into the 'clearing' where she could see some of her clanmates crouching - Moonflight was impossible to miss - and a pair of rogues not far off. With a small growl, the silver tabby moved up to join the small patrol.

Windpaw nudged Silverstripe gently, looking rather bored. "Do you wish for us to run them out?" she asked in an almost monotone voice. Something was deeply off about the silver cat, something very very terrible.

The she-cat had had her heart broken over the past few moons. Onepaw began to push her away until eventually he snapped at her to jump into a river and stop bothering him. Windpaw, who had thought the other was her best friend... didn't take it lightly. She moped for days, not eating much food, until finally Soulpaw, the Medicine Cat Apprentice, grew annoyed with her and shoved a mouse down her throat.

(OOC: Angsty Windpaw, because she needs to be Angsty. And I want a rule for leaders to HAVE to make apprentices into warriors and kits into apprentices, because this is stupid >.> Soulpaw should have his name by now. He's a year and a month old our time.)

The white she-cat was in a wonderful mood. But when wasn't she in a wonderful mood? When wasn't she running around camp like some freak who needed a chill-pill? In truth? Never.
She spun around and with a giggly little voice she "whispered" to Windpaw. "Oh! Chase them out? Fun! Do you think they're good fighters?" She asked, the yellow ring of her eyes blazed while the blue one shone with joy as she smirked her head off. Where the two rings met made a perfect fierce passion she'd just developed as an adult cat.

She turned back to the older warrior, waiting for an "okay" or something. Moonflight wished she was the oldest here, so she could have the authority to say "go" but she was only just a warrior, still having the same respect as any apprentice, but was never let in on apprentice gossip anymore.
Moonflight sighed. The life of an in-between cat was tough. Well. . . for her.

(("She turned back to the older warrior, waiting for oreos" XD That's what I wrote the first time, it was a typo, but it happened because I was thinking about oreos.))

you see, they are enemy... kill them all now... kill kill kill kill kill...

Slice struggled to remain Slice, but deep down, he knew Dark Slyce was stronger. Still, his pride wouldn't let him give in to his alternate self without a fight.
"I... highly suggest you leave..." Slice hissed out to the loner, quiet enough to remain unheard by the Clan cats.
He didn't want the loner to die. It didn't deserve to die. And it would be waste. If he had to kill something, he wanted to kill some of his enemies.
Slice's tail twitched again, sending a small amount of dust into the air. His eyes narrowed.
kill kill kill now...
Then, without warning, he leaped forward, breaking into a run toward the Clan cats. He was going to hurt them.
Alas, Dark Slyce did not have the intelligence of Slice. He failed to notice the Thin Snout he was going to run right past, the creature his alternate self had just been talking about.

Silverstripe perked up immediatly seeing the thin snout shift before moving alerted him. "Quick, Run back to camp!" He hissed. Thin snouts were impossible to kill, and it was just as impossible to survive. He flexed his claws and leaped up into the nearest tree. He turned back for lionpaw, "Lionpaw!" He yowled.
